If you haven’t yet participated in our new music group, Senior Beat, now’s the time to come check it out.
The group is led by resident Nancy Raven, who has sung with children for almost 50 years, teaching songs from around the world, using instruments from distant countries. He Her domestic route spanned from Monterey, California, to Seattle, Washington, stopping at libraries and elementary schools along the way. And now, as a senior citizen, she would like to share these instruments with her senior companions and neighbors here at Carson Plaza. Her varied and unique instruments include drums, gourds, scrapers, shakers, and other wonderful noisemakers.
Nancy is filled with joy because of the folks who have turned out already, eager to have some fun and sing some songs. The music group has created a song that’s just for Carson Plaza, and there will be more! She hopes you will join them for Senior Beat, which meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 4 p.m., in the Rotunda. See you there!
